How to talk to girlfriend about photography?

I am currently dating a very opinionated and easily jealous girlfriend and I am not sure how to talk to her about me starting human based photography. The subject of my matter will be the human form which will include the male and mainly the female body. Most of the work will be clothed or partially clothed but sometimes it will have the fully nude figure.

You are asking how to have your girlfriend accept you photographing other women nude?

There is no magic “photographer’s” secret that changes the trust level or character of girlfriends. She is either ok with it or not – in your case it seems not. If you were doing this as part of an art class, that might be acceptable, but most women don’t want their guys alone with another naked woman, not because they suspect infidelity, but because it gives a basis for possibly unfavourable comparisons.

Your problem has nothing to do with photography – it is purely to do with your relationship. My wife has often posed nude for me, and she has no objections to me photographing other women nude – something that I do on occasion. We have a good trusting relationship and my wife is very attractive – clothed or nude – and is not made insecure by other nude woman. If my wife was overweight or in some other way unattractive I could see it making her feel insecure.
