How do I get good clear action shots on my Cannon SLR Digital Camera inside a gym shooting volleyball?
I have set the aperture reading wide open and a 360 on the shutter speed, and the ISO around 1500. The pics come in focus but are dark. Is there a specific lens for indoor action shots?
How fast is your lens? The dimmer the lights are, the bigger your aperture should be – hopefully you have a f/2.8 lens.
Put the camera on high ISO (as you were doing), and on Aperture Priority – the biggest possible.
Shoot in RAW.
You say your pics are in focus, so that is half the battle won. If you shoot in RAW, you’ll be able to coax a lot more details out of those dark areas in post processing.
