I am a beginner photographer and I wonder if it's a good kit. It might work, but $ 600 is a lot for this equipment. For the same price, you can get more gear but better: http://www.alienbees.com/digi.html Actually, you can update this from B400 to B800 at any time in the next two years simply by paying the price difference plus a handling fee. AlienBees is a pretty decent equipment.
