open my own studio photograhy?

Hello my name is Linda my dream is to open my studio photography. I love to take pictures. I always have my camera with me. My son is my inspiration and he is not an inch of wall space in the open with a photo. I know that some people think that nuts IM to shoot a million to their baby shower or wedding until they see the photo album or a DVD slideshow. tihng theres a problem I do not know where to start. Do I need a diploma or certificate? or just a few classes and experience? accessories to buy, etc … how much to charge?? I would appreciate your comments Linda Thanks for reading

There are others here who could answer better than me, but before you begin, ask yourself some questions: 1) Do I have the capital to open a studio … I guess you would need $ 25k to $ 50k, just rent the premises, stock supplies and goods, advertising for the store, and many other things I can not think now. Remember that you must have something to live / pay yourself (unless you have other means of support). 2) Are you ready to work 12, 14 or 16 hours per day during the first few years of starting the business? 3) 90% of all studios fail (for many reasons, but more often because of lack of business experience). Are you ready to take such risk? Good luck whatever you do ….
