What background color to the photograph of glass?

Hello, I'm an artist who has recently graduated in sculpture. I now employed in a factory that sandblasted glass etching and sculpture. We are a small company and our website is totally DIY. It is part of my work take pictures prodect for our site. I know a little about photography, but nothing to take photos of glass. We are currently setting up a photo area for large items, such as tables ect. I did some research online on the type of photography and find some good advice (the light from behind or above, black panels on each side, etc.), but I have to choose a backdrop. What color would it be? It is very important that art be engraved visible. I think maybe a light color, and if we shed light on an area, others will be dark on the photo, but what do I know? Someone please adivse me because I do not really know what I do. Any other good tips picture glass would also be welcome! Thank you

I shot a few drinks, I created a table and used a single blow. I used a light blue background I used two hotlights and broadcasters to set opposite them to kill the shadows, I had my two lamps measured at the same f stops. Another time I turned my glass with hotlights had three lights, turn one on the left side on one side and always make a backlight. The two front lamps had diffusers the rear had not, my light on the right was one higher than a stop on the left, which was stop above the rear light
