Photography For Scrapbookers

Beginner Scrapbooking Digital: What is a digital image?
Get ready to learn the terms of imaging digital and basic steps to get a digital image of a camera in a digital scrapbook layout.
Digital scrapbooking, sometimes called virtual scrapbooking, is so easy, because the layout Scrapbook is created, simulated or constructed using a computer. All information visual that is integrated into the final digital captured somewhere in digital memory as bits and bytes.
When a photo is taken, a digital camera stores all information on a photographic memory of the computer chip known as small a memory card. Digital cameras for storing digital images in JPEG format that uses data compression. cameras are more expensive, use TIFF and RAW formats that use more storage space, but to give photographers more experienced in the treatment of image options.
Megapixels is a measure of how many millions of individual photons capture elements are inside the digital camera sensor. The sensor replaces the film in a traditional camera, that each element of the light image is reflected by thousands of bits per pixel, or picture.
Each camera has its own settings and firmware (software embedded in camera) that determine how the image Digital is stored, that is, how many pixels are used by the image and in what format the image is saved. A digital camera to capture images at the best possible use more pixels per image and therefore more memory for data storage as well. Megapixel Cameras a greater ability to produce high-resolution photographs.
A pixel is another term computer is short for picture element. In digital file of the saved image, a pixel refers to a single point of light on the photo. In a digital camera that takes pictures 1600×1200 pixels, each image contains 1,920,000 pixels, or about 2 megapixels. Similarly, a picture of 2560×1920 pixels 4,915,200 pixels stores, or about 5 million pixels.
Digital cameras usually come with a cord to connect directly to a computer. This allows the unit capacity read the flash card to be used in conjunction with software.
Otherwise, the memory card can be removed from the device and placed in a card reader already connected to a computer. Some computers come with internal card readers with multiple slots for different memory card formats. For my SD card, I bought a cheap device that allows me to USB plug my flash memory card into my computer USB port.
Using either method above, you can now open the image files from digital where they are stored on the flash memory card and save the files on your hard drive. The images copied to the hard drive becomes the source of origin for all future work done with these digital images. Once you are sure that you have successfully copied the images on the hard disk, flash memory card can now be reused to take more pictures.
I have a folder (or directory) on my hard drive called downloads camera. This is where I keep all my digital picture files. When I want to do more work with a particular photo, I am yet another copy of the digital image file in a second file that is my working directory. This ensures that I always have an original copy because I never want to change or destroy the original in any way. It's like hanging from the original negative film processed now done in the computer – almost. This is Another plus for the digital scrapbooking.
Most important for this process is to always make regular backups of all your personal data and digital images from your hard disk to another type of storage media, whether CD, DVD, tape, online backup or redundant hard drive.
So recap. We have taken a picture that was stored in digital form in the flash memory card from the camera. We connected the device the computer or we moved the memory card into the computer card reader device. Then, we copied the image memory card for digital photo downloads folder on the computer hard drive. And for the treatment of the future, we made another copy the image in our working folder. Finally, we have ensured that all of our original photos are stored on a regular basis to another medium storage.
